Gallagher Bassett UK has appointed Gordon Vater Business Development Director and a member of the executive board.
Vater joins from RiiG Ltd with immediate effect and in his new role will be responsible for enhancing and delivering claims consultancy, insource and training capabilities to corporate and carrier markets.
He will be supported by 10 of his team, who also join from RiiG and will focus on servicing new contracts.

Vater brings more than 25 years’ claims experience, gained predominantly in the adjusting, claims management and consultancy sectors.
He has held senior operational management positions, in both the claims management and consultancy sectors. He is also a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
