Insurance and reinsurance broker, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., has appointed Lewis Walker as a Director in its specialist dispute resolution team in its major risks practice.
Walker joins Gallagher from Blackstone Chambers – a magic circle barristers chambers based in Temple, London, where he served as one of the senior practice managers.
In his new role at Gallagher, Walker brings extensive knowledge within the legal sector, having been at Blackstone Chambers since 2008, prior to which he was Practice Manager at Selborne Chambers from 2002.
Walker also has experience across a wide range of different types of law, including commercial, EU & competition, chancery, international law, domestic and international arbitration, financial services plus mediations, and ADR.
Gallaghers major risk practice employs 60 risk professionals, and its established and growing dispute resolution team provides insurance solutions for law firms and litigation funders throughout the UK and across the globe.
The solutions that the team offers clients includes after-the-event (ATE) insurance, law firm contingency fee insurance, arbitration award default insurance, capital protection insurance, appeal protection insurance and cross-undertaking in damages insurance.
