Gallagher, the global insurance broking and risk management group, has appointed Manuel Gómez González as Director of Warranty & Indemnity (W&I), Transaction Solutions, to its global multidisciplinary Private Equity and M&A (PEMA) practice, further expanding its Iberian presence.
He will be based in Madrid, with an Iberia-wide remit, and report to Cristina Chaparro Vaquero, Executive Director of PEMA in Iberia.
This appointment reinforces the broker’s continued focus on building deep-seated, client-focused expertise in its PEMA practice, across M&A solutions, and the wider capital advisory space, expanding its geographic footprint.
Recently, the broker appointed Verónica Rodríguez Moroni as Director of Financial Lines to the same team.
Gómez González has over a decade of experience advising corporates and PE funds on complex, high-value M&A transactions across Europe, having worked closely with W&I insurance solutions and over the full deal lifecycle.
Most recently, he served at international law firm Squire Patton Boggs as a Senior M&A Associate, bringing a background as a corporate and M&A lawyer. Before this, Gómez González spent eight years at legal and tax services firm Garrigues as a Corporate M&A Senior Associate.
