Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Mathieu Loisel as Lead for Casualty & Motor for EMEA and Coordinator for the International Casualty Practice Group (ICPG).
Based in Switzerland, Loisel will focus on strengthening Gallagher Re’s International Casualty and Motor treaty reinsurance capabilities, collaborating with teams across the region.
Loisel brings over 20 years of industry experience to this role, joining Gallagher Re after a 19-year tenure at Swiss reinsurer NewRe.
At NewRe, he joined as Underwriter for the French Market in 2006 and progressed through various senior roles, including Lead Underwriter for Casualty. Most recently, he served as Head of Casualty Underwriting.
Before NewRe, Loisel spent four years at AXA, where he held roles including Account Manager.
