Gen Re, the Berkshire Hathaway owned specialist reinsurance company, has hired William (Bill) Casill, FSA, as Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary of its North American life and health business.
Casill was most recently with AXA Equitable, where he held the role of Head of Reinsurance and Corporate Chief Underwriter.
In his new role at Gen Re, Casill will take on strategic responsibility of pricing and valuation for General Re Life Corporation. He will report to President and CEO, Vincent DeMarco.

Casill has extensive experience in pricing and valuation of life reinsurance risks, with more than 25 years of experience in mortality analytics, underwriting and reinsurance.
