Swiss Re has announced two new hires within its cyber reinsurance team, naming Giv Kahrom as Head of Cyber Asia, and Alex Stubbs as Senior Cyber Underwriter for the UK market.
Kahrom took on the position as Head of Cyber Asia in January and is based in Singapore, while Stubbs is set to join the team in March, and will be based in Zurich.
They will both report to Dani Tobler, Swiss Re’ Global Head of Cyber, who commented, “We are delighted to welcome Giv and Alex to our team. Their hiring underscores Swiss Re’s commitment to the cyber line of business and our aspiration to diversify and expand our treaty client base.
“Giv Kahrom’s newly created role in Asia expands our footprint and establishes a presence in this important growth area. Alex Stubbs strengthens our European setup, along with additional internal hires.”
Kahrom joins Swiss Re from Munich Re Singapore, where he worked as a Regional Senior Underwriter Cyber. He has also previously served as Head of Cyber / Professional Indemnity for Switzerland at AIG.
Meanwhile, Stubbs was the Deputy Class Underwriter Cyber at Chaucer Group. He additionally brings experience from Everest Reinsurance Company, Lloyd’s of London and Marsh.
