Global Atlantic Financial Group, a leading U.S.-focused retirement life re/insurer, has appointed Sam Barnett as new Head of Sales for its life insurance segment.
Barnett – an industry veteran boasting over 20 years of life insurance experience – will be responsible for reshaping and executing the firm’s life insurance sales strategies.
David Wilken, President, Traditional Life, at Global Atlantic, said; “Sam is the ideal person to lead our life sales growth, his insight and experience are a great fit to lead the talented sales team we have in place and drive our continued growth.”
Prior to joining Global Atlantic, Barnett served as National Sales Manager of Brokerage Distribution for Lincoln Financial, where under his leadership the sales team generated over $1 billion in sales and over $300 million of life insurance target premium.
Barnett also played an integral role in the merger of Lincoln and Jefferson Pilot, where he oversaw successful integration of all aspects of life sales.
Over the course of his career, Barnett has also gained experience as a Divisional Sales Manager, Senior Regional Account Manager and life insurance agent.
