Globe Underwriting, the UK-based managing general agent part of the BGC Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of David Dymond as Head of Marine and Transport, effective immediately.
For the last three years, Dymond has served as Head of Underwriting for Marine and Transport at Globe.
His appointment follows the retirement of Peter Rogers, who will remain with Globe until January 2020 to facilitate the transition.
“We are very fortunate to have benefited from Peter’s expertise,” said Andrew Wallin, Chief Commercial Officer at BGC Insurance and Chief Executive Officer of Globe Underwriting.
“He has been a highly valued member of the team, having been instrumental in establishing and leading Globe’s first-class marine and transport specialism,” he added. “We wish Peter the very best in his retirement.”

Dymond has more than 34 years of industry experience, and has previously held roles at Lonham Group Ltf, Allianz and International Transport and Maritime Underwriters.
