Great American Insurance Group has promoted Brian DeSoto to Divisional President of its Great American Risk Solutions Division.
DeSoto began his career in law, specialising in bankruptcy and commercial litigation, and has been at Great American Group for over 12 years, joining in 2008 as Divisional Assistant Vice President, Corporate Claims.
In 2010, he joined the Specialty E&S Division, now known as Great American Risk Solutions, with responsibility for Claims Operations.
DeSoto then took on the role of Divisional Senior Vice President in 2014, where he oversaw Underwriting, Operations and Accounting as well as other Divisional functions.
He will continue to be based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
