GuideOne Insurance, a provider of property and liability insurance and risk management solutions, has promoted Paul Knutson to the leadership team as Senior Vice President of alternative distribution and reinsurance.
The company has confirmed that Knutson will immediately assume his new role, with Vice President, E&S Casualty Jude DiBattista, and VP, Programs Jim Murakami, reporting directly to him.
In his new role, Knutson will be responsible for developing and executing all facets of GuideOne’s strategy in the programs and E&S casualty market segments, while also retaining his current responsibilities for reinsurance purchasing across all GuideOne business segments.
Overall, Knutson brings over 25 years of experience towards the role.
He joined GuideOne in 2021 as VP of reinsurance. Since he has been with the company, Knutson has played an effective role in the strategy for all business segments across GuideOne. At the same time, he has been instrumental in aligning the company’s reinsurance solutions with its financial and long-term capital goals.
Prior to joining GuideOne, Knutson spent just over a year at Centauri Insurance, where he held the role of VP, Capital and Reinsurance Strategy.
Additionally, he also previously served as EVP at BMS Group between September 2017-March 2020.
