Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance broking arm of Marsh McLennan, has announced the hiring of David Arthur as Head Actuary for its UK Non-Specialty business, including Global Casualty, Accident & Health, UK Property and UK Motor.
Effective October 2021, Arthur takes on responsibility for the oversight of all actuarial activities undertaken within these UK business units and will lead the development of the related analytical and pricing capabilities.
He will be based in London and will report to Richard Rodriguez, Head of Analytics and Advisory, UK and Global Specialties, Guy Carpenter.
Arthur joins the reinsurance broker from specialist insurer Brit, where he most recently served as a Senior Pricing Manager. Previously, he served as Head of Pricing at Advent Insurance and operated across all business lines. Prior to this, Arthur held numerous lead actuarial roles at QBE Insurance.
