Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has announced plans to combine its Continental European and UK facultative operations into a single division, which will be led by Nicola Fraccalvieri.
Effective 1 January 2022, this consolidated structure will bring together Guy Carpenter’s London Europe Property and Casualty business and Continental Europe Facultative teams under Fraccalvieri’s leadership.
The broker says the move will enhance its ability to deliver effective facultative solutions to clients across these regions.
Fraccalvieri, who has been appointed Head of Continental Europe Facultative, has served as a Managing Director at Guy Carpenter for the previous 13 years.
He has more than 25 years’ industry experiencing, with prior roles including Team Leader at Aon and Executive Director at Willis.
Guy Carpenter places more than $1.6 billion in facultative reinsurance across a range of business lines, including energy, property, casualty, specialty and marine.
Earlier this week, the company announced the appointment of Vito Modugno, formerly of Swiss Re, as Managing Director of its Continental Europe Facultative practice.
