Guy Carpenter unveils APAC Catastrophe Advisory Group

Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance broking arm of Marsh McLennan, has named Jeremy Waite as the lead of its newly launched Asia Pacific Catastrophe Advisory Group.

guy-carpenter-logoThe new advisory group is dedicated to the Asia Pacific region and will offer clients direct access to the broker’s extensive catastrophe expertise and capabilities, which includes in-house analytics experts, scientific partners, and public sector specialists.

The group, working together with firms across the Asia Pacific region, will create innovative solutions and provide access to new sources of capital to manage these exposures, and to help tackle the growing threat of climate change.

Waite, who currently leads the property treaty broking team at Guy Carpenter for Australia and New Zealand, will take on the additional responsibility of overseeing the activities of the new advisory group.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector across underwriting, actuarial and broking roles, spanning all classes and catastrophe modelling in the UK and Australia.
