Venkat Krishnamoorthy has joined Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer, Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd. from Coleman Research, to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Effective August 5th, 2019, Krishnamoorthy will report to Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Pina Albo. In his new role, he will take responsibility for the continued development of the re/insurer’s data-driven technology strategy and execution.
He brings nearly three decades of experience in digital technology, software development and operations, product development, and engineering to Hamilton. Krishnamoorthy most recently served as CTO at Coleman Research, where for four years he led the company’s digital transformation and new SAAS product development.
He has previously worked for McGraw-Hill Higher Education, Interactive Data Corporation, Thomson Reuters, and CIBC World Markets.
Commenting on his appointment, Albo said: “Venkat joins Hamilton at a critical juncture in our growth as we seek to boost efficiency and bottom line performance while building a profitable global specialty insurance and reinsurance franchise.
