Insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital has announced it is consolidating its A&H Insurance and Reinsurance organisations under a single leader, James “Jay” Hamilton.
This change aims to create a unified team, combining market knowledge and expertise from across all Accident and Health markets to enhance customer service.
Hamilton will leverage his 35 years of experience in the re/insurance industry to lead his new team as Global Head of A&H Insurance and Reinsurance.
The executive has been part of AXIS for almost 15 years, having joined the company from Chubb in 2016 to launch AXIS Digital Ventures.
He was then appointed CEO Accident & Health North America before being named Global Head of Accident & Health Insurance.
Hamilton also spent a decade of his career at Chubb, where he served as Senior Vice President & Head of Accident, Benefits and Life – North America.
Before that, he spent another ten years at CNA Insurance, serving as Vice President – CNA Group Benefits (Re)insurance.
