In a strategic move to bolster insurance offerings, HDI Embedded, a leading embedded insurance provider under HDI International, has been chosen by Berlin-based insurtech company wefox and Wind Tre, the renowned Italian multi-service operator.
The collaboration aims to extend coverage and warranty solutions for customers of Wind Tre, particularly in safeguarding household appliances and electronics beyond the manufacturer’s original warranty.
The decision follows Wind Tre’s recent establishment of its insurance agency, Wind Tre Assicurazioni, in conjunction with wefox, to curate innovative and user-friendly insurance products for its clientele.
Leveraging wefox’s distribution platform and service solutions expertise, HDI Embedded will now offer multi-appliance extended warranty insurance to Wind Tre customers.
This coverage encompasses damages to household appliances and consumer electronics post-manufacturer warranty expiration, with costs starting as low as 4.99 EUR per month.
The agile deployment facilitated by wefox has enabled Wind Tre to swiftly introduce this new offering, providing customers with expanded coverage options at competitive rates.
Nelson Castellanos, Chief Partnerships Officer – International at HDI Embedded, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the potential of digital insurance solutions in shaping the embedded finance era.
