HDI Global, a Germany-based corporate and specialty insurer and part of the Talanx Group, has appointed Philip Beblo as Head of Property Underwriting, effective 1 May 2026.
He will take on global responsibility for the company’s Property Local Risk business, with a responsibility to further develop the portfolio and support its international expansion.
Beblo brings broad experience from senior positions at international insurance organisations. Prior to joining HDI Global, he served as Deputy Manager International Property at Everest Insurance and as Global Practice Group Leader Property at AGCS SE.
In these roles, he was involved in the growth and management of international property portfolios, as well as the development of underwriting capabilities across regions.
In his new position, Beblo will oversee the worldwide Property Local Risk segment and work alongside Mark Mackay, Global Head of Energy & Power, and Franz Adamczyk, Head of Global Risk Property and consultant to the Energy & Power business. His responsibilities include progressing the international property portfolio, with attention to underwriting standards, governance, and consistency across markets.
