She will have a dual reporting line to both Graham Silton, HDI’s Managing Director and Principal Officer in Singapore and Chris McDowell, HDI Global SE’s Underwriting Manager, Accident & Health Australasia in Sydney.

Silton commented on the appointment: “I am delighted to welcome Lisa to HDI, with her proven track record and capabilities, she will be invaluable to the business as we enter the Asian Accident & Health market. I am very much looking forward to working with Lisa as we expand our product offering to our clients and brokers across the region.”

HDI Global says that its Singapore branch functions as a hub for the Southeast Asian market and underpins the company’s ambition to be a global player with the new hire, and adding Accident & Health to the portfolio.

Most recently, at Starr Insurance Companies, Leow served as the Head of Accident & Health.

Before that, she held similar positions with QBE Asia and Zurich and spent more than 10 years at AIG in different functions. During this time, she gained extensive expertise in Accident and Health insurance in Singapore and across Asia.

McDowell added: “We are delighted that with Lisa we have gained a proven expert to position HDI Global as a reliable partner in the Accident & Health sector in Asia.

“HDI offers a broad range of Accident & Health products, with a strong proposition in international programmes for global clients. A company’s most important asset is their people. We are an experienced partner to help our clients manage their Accident & Health risks globally.”

Leow stated: “HDI has a strong and growing reputation in Asia and I’m looking forward to bringing new opportunities to the business as we grow our Accident & Health market footprint in the region. We provide comprehensive Accident & Health products including medical and security assistance services around the world.”
