Highland Insurance Solutions (HIS) which partners with Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has announced the appointment of James Tran to Head of Global Agriculture.
Tran will head up the growth and development of HIS’ crop reinsurance segment, working closely with TMK’s reinsurance underwriters in London and Singapore.
Carl Herrmann, HIS Chief Executive Officer, said crop reinsurance is another excellent opportunity for HIS to “leverage our strong infrastructure assets to pursue new business goals.
“Just as HIS successfully ventured into the US Construction insurance space, we expect the same success in this new field of business especially because we have the solid experience and proven expertise of James Tran on our side.”
As an agriculture reinsurance veteran – James will bring two decades of experience and insight in this specialist sector to the role; he boasts a total of 26 years insurance industry experience.
