Howden acquires entertainment broker Franz Gossler

International insurance broker Howden has acquired Germany’s Franz Gossler Insurance Group to bolster its position as a leading sport, film and entertainment broker in Europe.

howden-group-logoFranz Gossler Insurance Group was founded in 1970 and is an owner-managed company specialising in the field of entertainment, film, event and advertising insurance.

The transaction was executed by Howden Germany’s specialty broker, Howden Caninenberg.

The firm stated that the acquisition is part of its strategic objective to invest in local specialist expertise and position itself as the preeminent choice for national and international clients in the entertainment industry.

The acquisition of Franz Gossler follows that of Assimovie earlier this year, which made Howden the largest TV and film production broking house in Italy.
