Gugolz joins Howden from Aon, where he has served as CEO of Reinsurance Solutions in Switzerland. He joined Aon in 2002 as a reinsurance broker with regional focus, in 2008 he was promoted to lead his department and then in 2015 became CEO.

His career began at Rhine Re and the Alea Group where he spent eight years focused on reinsurance underwriting across the Swiss market and in Eastern Europe.

In April 2021, Howden launched its retail operation in Switzerland, which followed the 2020 acquisition of IRIA, a Geneva-headquartered specialist political risk and credit insurance broker now part of Howden Specialty.
