Howden Re, the reinsurance division of Howden, continues to expand its Capital & Operational Solutions Practice with several strategic appointments over the past year, most recently naming Paul Ogni as Director – Operational Solutions.
In this new role, Ogni will support the development of a claims management advisory service.
He brings over 30 years of industry experience, having spent two decades at Crawford & Company, where he served on the Global Senior Management Team, as Regional Director for Eurasia and Africa, and as Country Manager for Italy.
Prior to that, he was a Director at Studio Bolton and Associati and began his career as an insurance loss adjuster at McLarens UK and Graham Miller Italy.
As the Capital & Operational Solutions Practice enhances its European capabilities to support international growth, other key hires include Tom Finch, appointed Managing Director, Head of Prospective Solutions.
Finch joined in October 2024 after six years at AXIS in various senior roles, most recently as Head of Underwriting Governance (Group), where he was responsible for the global development, review, and administration of underwriting policy, guidelines, and authorities.
Before that, he spent 11 years at Swiss Re, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President, Senior Structurer.
Howden Re also appointed Matti Becker as Associate Director, Capital & Operational Solutions.
Becker joined in July 2024 from EY, where he was Manager Strategy and Transactions. Previously, he spent nearly five years at DARAG Group, most recently as as M&A and PMI Manager.
Additional appointments include Alexandre Veber, named Director, Broking & Structured Solutions in January 2025, and Alexander Roth, who joined in May 2024 as Managing Director, Head of Capital & Operational Solutions.
