Howden Specialty launches new Sustainable Energy practice

Howden Specialty has announced the launch of its new Sustainable Energy practice along with several significant new hires as part of its strategy to become the global market leader in the sector.

Howden logoThe team is led by Deborah Duss and is mainly based in London whilst expanding its geographical footprint with the appointment of Jonas Dalsgaard, who joins from Danish insurer, Codan.

Dalsgaard will join on December 1st, 2020 as the Chief Commercial Officer based in Copenhagen, and will be working alongside Daniel McCormick, who heads broking and placement strategy.

In addition, Matthew Savitt has also joined the company as the Head of the new Natural Resources team in Singapore, which will include Sustainable Energy as a key product line.

Dalsgaard commented: “I am truly excited about joining Howden Specialty and I look forward to playing my part in expanding the remit of Howden’s sustainable energy business and broadening its network using the entrepreneurial spirit and client-oriented mind-set for which Howden is so widely known.”
