Howden Tiger names Martin Ford as Executive Director

Howden Tiger, the reinsurance broking arm of the global insurance group Howden, announced the appointment of Martin Ford as Executive Director.

Based in London, Ford will be reporting directly to Managing Director Paul Esterbrook.

Ford brings with him a wealth of expertise, having spent the last 26 years at Gallagher Re, formerly Willis Re.

During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in the non-marine specialty team, focusing extensively on worldwide retrocessional property accounts.

Paul Esterbrook, Managing Director, said: “Fordy has 36 years’ experience in the industry predominately in the Non Marine Retrocession arena.”

“He joins a strong team bringing a wealth of experience, relationships and a collaborative approach. I’m very pleased to welcome him to Howden Tiger,” Esterbrook said.

Ford joins Howden Tiger’s growing Global Property Retro and Direct and Facultative (D&F) business across London, Bermuda and Internationally, Howden Tiger noted.
