Hudson Structured Capital Management Ltd. (HSCM) has announced the appointment of Jeff Sangster, who has been named as Partner, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & Head of Strategy.
Sangster previously served as Executive Vice President and CFO at Validus Holdings, Ltd from February 2013 to August 2018.
At Hudson, which does its re/insurance business as HSCM Bermuda, Sangster will take over from Jason Carne, who has served as CFO since 2018 and as an advisory board member since 2017.
Carne has concurrently been named as Partner & Executive Chairman of Finance for the company.
“Hudson is a rapidly expanding, innovative organization that has a unique approach to capital management,” said Sangster.
“I am excited to join Michael and the talented team that has been established to explore and create opportunities for investment outperformance,” he added.
Sangster has over 21 years’ of industry and held various finance positions during his career with Validus, including as Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Validus Reinsurance, Ltd.
Prior to joining Validus in 2006, he held a number of roles with Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd., Centre Group and Ernst & Young.
