Hugh Barbanell has joined Aon as Senior Managing Director for the Caribbean Region. In this new role, he will be based in Miami, Florida.
The announcement was made via LinkedIn, with Barbanell joining the firm after sixteen years with SCOR, where he served as Caribbean Market Manager.
Barbanell has over three decades of reinsurance marketing, underwriting, and accounting experience in the Caribbean.
Additionally, he is well versed in both US Domestic and International Property and Casualty business.
Barbanell commented on his new role, stating, “I am pleased to be starting a new chapter with Aon, as a Senior Managing Director for the Caribbean Region.”
“I’m looking forward to incorporating the skills developed as a reinsurer with the fantastic team at Aon.”
