Specialty property and casualty (P&C) insurer IAT Insurance Group has announced the appointment of Steve Assennata as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) of its Programs unit.
He joins IAT from Munich Re, where he most recently served as Head of Insurance Programs.
Prior to this Assennata worked as CUO for Casualty Reinsurance Programs at Munich Re.
Earlier in his career, Assennata held several other management positions in underwriting, and has more than 25 years’ total experience in the industry.
“We look forward to welcoming Steve as he brings his extensive knowledge and experience to our Programs unit,” said Bill Cunningham, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IAT.
“Steve brings extensive underwriting expertise and deep knowledge of the Programs business,” added Bill Teed, IAT’s Senior Vice President of Programs.
“He will be an invaluable team member as we further our efforts to explore more business opportunities in the Programs space.”
