Sandy Smith assumes oversight of the team of risk management specialists in her new role as Vice President, Risk Management, at ICW Group Insurance Companies.
Paul Zamora, Senior Vice President, Workers’ Compensation, ICW Group, commented on the appointment: “A key pillar to ICW Group’s success in the work comp space is the value-add we provide our customers through comprehensive safety and risk management services.
“Sandy’s proven track record of reducing the frequency and severity of losses through proactive risk management applications will help us continue to serve our policyholders and protect workers.”
Smith’s remit in the role would be leading the company’s extensive loss control services focused on workplace injury prevention for thousands of workers’ compensation policyholders nationwide.
She will also drive the development and implementation of risk management strategies and services designed to safeguard workers’ comp customers.
Smith is a risk management leader with more than 30 years of experience with an extensive background in risk reduction.
Prior to this, she led the policyholder services team for EMC Insurance Companies as Assistant Vice President and served in other risk improvement positions at Continental Western Group and Liberty Mutual.
