The Ardonagh Group’s global reinsurance broking arm, Inver Re, has hired Gareth Davies from Price Forbes as Chairman of Parametrics, effective May 2023.
Davies joins the reinsurance broker after more than three years with Price Forbes & Partners, where he most recently served as an Executive Director with a focus on parametric weather and catastrophe solutions.
During his tenure with Price Forbes, which is another Ardonagh Group brand, Davies also specialised in other alternative risk solutions, mining investments, projects and operations, renewables investments, projects and operations, and also credit and political and security risk insurance.
Earlier in his career, Davies spent more than two years with Tysers, again with a focus on parametrics, credit and political risk insurance, renewables, and mining and metals.
Prior to this, Davies had stints with JLT Specialty and RFIB Group between 2011 and 2018.
The appointment of Davies follows the hiring of Tom Johansmeyer, who recently left his role as Head of PCS to serve as Inver Re’s new Global Head of Index products.
