Reinsurance broker Lockton Re has announced that Jerry Ridge is to lead the firm as Head of Reinsurance, following the retirement of George Carrington this Spring.
As Head of Reinsurance at Lockton Re, Ridge will lead the firm’s 60 dedicated reinsurance professionals across the UK and the U.S., as the company continues down its growth path. At the same time, Ridge will continue to be responsible for oversight of the Marine and Energy Reinsurance practice.
Previously Chairman of Global Specialty at Willis Re, Ridge joined Lockton Re in June of last year. He has 37 years of experience in the reinsurance industry, and while at Willis Re also held positions as co-CEO of Willis Re Specialty, and Managing Director of Willis Re Global Marine and Energy.

Lockton Re has also stated that James Moss will continue to serve as Business Leader, non-Marine Reinsurance, and Carla Moffett will remain Business Leader, Strategy and Business Development.
