Insurance and reinsurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson’s (JLT) U.S. subsidiary, JLT Specialty USA, has announced Jim White as its newly appointed Senior Vice President to head up its insurance and reinsurance cargo broking.
White joins from fellow brokerage Willis Towers Watson, and will work with JLT’s global Cargo team with a focus on expanding cargo and stock throughout the U.S. business.
JLT Specialty USA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mike Rice, said; “We are happy that Jim has joined our team in San Francisco. Jim’s experience and in-depth knowledge of cargo brokerage will be very beneficial not only for our team, but also for our clients.”
White boasts a distinguished career of over 34 years in the insurance industry, in his most recent role at Willis Towers Watson he was responsible for developing marine insurance business in a range of industries, including automobile manufacturing and distribution, global retailers, mining, technology, transportation and logistics.
