The Managing Director of JLT Ireland Patrick Howett is to become the Chief Executive Officer of Marsh Ireland upon the completion of Marsh & McLennan Companies’ previously-announced $5.6 billion acquisition of JLT Group.
Meanwhile, Joe Grogan has been appointed Executive Chairman of Marsh Ireland.
Both Howett and Grogan will be based in Dublin and report to Chris Lay, CEO of Marsh UK & Ireland.

Howett has served in a series of senior leadership roles at JLT since joining the company in 1983 and previously worked in the audit and tax departments of PwC.

Grogan has worked with Marsh for 28 years and was appointed Chairman of the company’s Ireland business in September 2018.
He was previously CEO of Marsh’s Corporate Division in the UK & Ireland.
