K2 International, the London-based specialist MGA, has announced the renewal of its underwriting facilities for 2022 with increased capacity.
Estimated premium is $250 million, or approximately 20% of the whole K2 Group.
The company says it secured increased capacity for its three underwriting teams, K2 Financial, K2 Property D&F and K2 CAT, with a panel of backers from Lloyd’s, Hong Kong, London, Taiwan and the US.
And it is also in discussions with a number of potential new teams going into 2022.
K2 International is a specialty insurance and reinsurance underwriting platform and the London-based arm of K2 Insurance Services, an underwriting and distribution franchise in the US programme market.
Its established insurance and reinsurance books of business will underwrite an estimated $200+ million of premium in 2021, spanning the property catastrophe, commercial property & financial institutions sectors.
Last year, K2 businesses detailed the renewal of both their US and Japan catastrophe facilities with carriers including Peak Re, Taiping Re and Cathay Century Insurance.
