Insurance and reinsurance marketplace Lloyd’s of London has announced the election of two new corporate external members to the Council of Lloyd’s.
Asta Corporate Member Limited, represented by Karen Green, and Flectat Limited, represented by Michael Watson will both commence their terms on December 1st, 2020.
Asta and Flectat won the most votes in a ballot that also included Axis Corporate Capital UK Limited, represented by Albert Benchimol, and Munich Re Capital Limited, represented by Dominick Hoare.
According to Civica Election Services, Green won 79,371,327 votes and Watson won 58,075,200, while Benchimol and Hoare fell behind at 11,922,092 and 31,487,462, respectively.
Each C-external member of the Society had 1000 votes for every £500,000 of voting capacity on the voting date of November 18th.
Additionally, Lloyd’s explained that each external individual member of the Society had one vote for every £500,000 of voting capacity on the record date.
