Stuart Smith has been appointed as the Outward Reinsurance Operations Manager at Ki Insurance, the first fully digital and algorithmically-driven Lloyd’s of London syndicate.
Smith is an industry veteran who has over twenty years of experience working in Outward Reinsurance.
Prior to this, he was at Brit Insurance where he served as Outward Reinsurance Operations Manager. He has worked with Brit Insurance in the past for two years as well earlier to this role.
Smith has also held the position of Assistant Reinsurance Manager at the Ascot Group in London.
Smith has also served as a Senior Outwards Reinsurance Technician at Novae for more than 15 years. His remit in the position included dealing with Non-Proportional / Proportional / Facultative experience in multiple classes including Property Risk and Cat, Marine, Indexed Motor, Casualty, PA, Credit, Political Risk and Terrorism. He was also responsible for premium adjustments made to income data compilation through to market submission.
Smith has also worked at Advent Underwriting Limited and Cater Allen (Omni Whittington). He started his career at J H Minet Insurance Brokers.
