Kinsale Capital Group, Inc. is set to undergo significant changes in its leadership structure, effective March 1, 2024.
Michael P. Kehoe, the current Chief Executive Officer, will take on the additional role of Chairman of the Board.
Concurrently, Brian D. Haney, serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, will succeed Kehoe as the President of the Company.
Meanwhile, Robert Lippincott, III, who held the position of Chairman of the Board, has been appointed Lead Independent Director.
Lippincott expressed confidence in the company’s commitment to efficiently execute its business model and deliver superior value to shareholders, emphasising that these changes aim to position Kinsale Capital Group for continued growth and success in the future.
Within the operational hierarchy, Stuart P. Winston will assume the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer effective March 1, 2024.
Winston, currently the Senior Vice President of Underwriting, will lead Kinsale’s insurance underwriting operations. He joined the company in 2010 and has steadily climbed the ranks, earning promotions in recognition of his contributions.
Winston brings a wealth of experience, having held various underwriting positions at James River Insurance Company. He holds a B.A. in Managerial Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and holds designations as Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from The Institutes.
Additionally, Patrick L. Dalton has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer, effective March 1, 2024.
In his new role, Dalton will spearhead business development and marketing initiatives. With a background in overseeing professional lines underwriting at Kinsale, and prior experience at James River Insurance Company and USLI, Dalton brings a diverse skill set to his leadership position.
