Broker firm McGriff has appointed former M&T Insurance Agency executive, Kyle Samuel to Chief Operating Officer.
Samuel most recently was the President of the Buffalo, New York-based insurance agency division of M&T Bank.
In addition, Samuel has previously served as managing director for USI Insurance Services, as well as its predecessor, Wells Fargo Insurance Services.
Before working for USI, Samuel served for nearly 17 years in various sales and operations roles at the multinational professional services firm, Aon Risk Solutions.
According to McGriff, within this new role Samuel will be responsible for McGriff’s high-performing sales culture and client experience.

Further appointments within the firm were also announced by McGriff.
Rocco Orlando was named carrier relations executive, Mike Breedlove was named as national director; middle market, Patrick Maguire will become national director, specialty practices, in addition to continuing to lead McGriff’s energy practice, and Carolyn Littlefield was named director, strategic projects, with the responsibility for overseeing large corporate projects.

Meanwhile, as McGriff makes big changes to its leadership team, Jon Trevisan will assume the title of national director, employee benefits practice, while Crystal Sanderson will become national director, small business and personal lines.
