Karl Hennessy, Head of Specialty Broking for Lloyd’s broker McGill and Partners, has been appointed to the board of the London and International Insurance Brokers’ Association (LIIBA).
LIIBA notes that Hennessy has over 30 years’ experience in the London insurance market.
He began his career with Fenchurch International, before moving to Lloyd Thompson in 1990, and later joined Aon in 2007 as CEO Global Clients.
Following a series of senior roles with Aon he became CEO of Aon Carrier Solutions in 2018 before leaving to join the newly formed McGill and Partners in 2019.
“Following McGill and Partners’ decision to become a LIIBA member earlier this year, I’m very pleased to welcome Karl to the board,” said Christopher Croft, CEO of LIIBA.
“His knowledge and wide experience of the London market will help shape LIIBA’s agenda and our response to many of the challenges facing brokers today.”
