Lloyd’s adds country managers for Mexico, Colombia

Lloyd’s has announced the appointment of Yelhis Hernandez as country manager for Mexico and Sebastian Gomez as country manager for Colombia as the company looks to bolster its market in Latin America.

Lloyd'sBased in Mexico City, Hernandez has been conducting the role since September 2019 with a focus on improving Lloyd’s market access across Mexico by supporting Managing Agents on the ground and acting as a liaison with the local regulator.

She was previously a Business Development Executive for Lloyd’s in Latin America and has more than 20 years of re/insurance sector experience.

In addition to his responsibilities helping to protect and promote the Lloyd’s market in Colombia, Gomez will also support Lloyd’s market development activities across Spanish speaking South America, as a Market Development Manager.

He is a re/insurance sector veteran with more than 18 years of experience working in London, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.

In addition to Lloyd’s offices in Mexico, Brazil and Colombia, Lloyd’s has recently bolstered its presence in Latin America by establishing a regional hub in Miami, led by Lloyd’s Regional Head of Latin America and the Caribbean, Daniel Revilla.
