Lloyd’s adds new Council and Franchise Board appointments

6th April 2017 - Author: Steve Evans

Lloyd’s of London has named Gregory Fleming as a nominated member of the Council of Lloyd’s and Patricia Jackson as an independent non-executive director of the Franchise Board, with the pair set to serve an initial term of three years.

Fleming replaces Henrique Meirelles, who stepped down from the Council last year, and Jackson will take-up the position on the Franchise Board previously held by Claire Ighodaro who retired in December 2016.

Fleming was most recently the President of Wealth Management and Asset Management at investment banking group Morgan Stanley, prior to which he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Merrill Lynch. He is a Senior Research Scholar and Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the prestigious Yale Law School.

Jackson is a Senior Advisor on Risk Governance and member of the Global Regulatory Network at EY. Previously she was led the EY financial regulatory practice as a Partner, covering the EMEIA region. She has also held a role as Head of the Financial Industry and Regulatory Division at the Bank of England.

Chairman of the Council of Lloyd’s, John Nelson, commented on the appointments; “Greg and Patricia will bring a vast amount of experience from the sharp end of the US and UK financial sectors.

“I would like to thank Henrique and Claire for their contributions to the Council and the Franchise Board over the years.”
