International law firm Locke Lord has set out to build its first London re/insurance team with newly hired insurance consultant expert Nigel Montgomery set to take the reins.
Nigel Montgomery, who has been recognised by The Legal 500 UK as a leading individual in insurance and restructuring, brings extensive experience in advising the UK and international insurance market on transactions and business issues.

Montgomery has previously played a pivotal role in resolving early insolvencies in the sector, and boasts experience in pioneering the restructuring of insurance companies.
He’s also advised on acquisitions and sales of insurers and brokers and on the establishment of branches and new insurance companies, additional areas of focus have included cyber risk, cyber insurance, bank operational risk insurance and run-off.
