Lockton appoints Philip Hewer as Risk Engineer

Independent insurance broker, Lockton, has appointed Philip Hewer as Risk Engineer, a move which further enhances the company’s level of technical risk understanding and direct industry experience.

Blake Roseveare, Energy Partner, commented on the hire, “I am delighted to welcome Philip to the Lockton Global Energy team. The risks which energy businesses face are myriad and complex.

Hewer has previous experience in the oil and gas industry, which spans more than four decades and covers power generation, downstream refining, upstream production, and LNG plants.

Prior to this, he was at broker Marsh serving as the Risk Engineer and Vice President in the energy division.

Previously, Hewer worked at BP Upstream for five years, most recently as an Instrument and Protective System Discipline Engineer.

He has also been a Senior Engineer at CB&I London and held various roles at both BP and Shell.
