Lockton buttresses transaction liability group

Lockton has appointed Annie Heiss and Alex Connelly to join its Transaction Liability group.

Lockton logoThe pair, joining in yet-undisclosed roles, will be joining several other hires over the last six months, including Isaura del Carmen, John Burkinshaw, Owen Hern, Nicholas Hill, and Craig Leonhardt.

Other Lockton hires have been Craig Wadman, who joined as North American casualty facultative leader a few days ago; Andy Conti, who became senior vice president, complex casualty at the beginning of the month; and Rob Kreager, who joined as senior broker and accident, health & life segment leader in January.

Eric Ziff, co-leader of the Transaction Liability Practice at Lockton, said: “As the M&A market remains active and transaction timelines continue to accelerate, the need for dependable and savvy transactional risk advice, guidance and solutions throughout the deal lifecycle is more important than ever.”

Heiss joins Lockton’s Transaction Liability Practice from Willkie Farr & Gallagher, where she was a senior corporate associate for the firm’s public and private company and private equity fund clients. She was also previously an associate at Morgan Lewis & Bockius.

Connelly, meanwhile, joins Lockton from A+E Networks, where he served as M&A and international partnerships counsel. Prior to that, he was a senior corporate associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, where he served as outside counsel to public and private companies involved in domestic and international M&A transactions, with a focus on Latin America.
