Insurance and reinsurance broker Lockton has made some changes to its international leadership, including the appointment of EJ Hentenaar as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Europe as Chris Brown takes on the role of President of Lockton International.
Hentenaar currently serves as Head of Global Financial Risks at Lockton and assumes his new CEO Europe role from Brown on May 1st, 2022, as part of a new leadership structure at the firm, designed to support the broker’s continued growth.
Brown’s newly created role of President of Lockton International sees him report to Ron Lockton, Chairman of the company.
He will be tasked with building on the work he has done to develop Lockton Global Partners, as well as the broker’s international growth strategy with a focus on the globalization of Lockton’s key industry practices.
Additionally, as part of Lockton’s planned succession, current CEO of Lockton International, Neil Nimmo, will become Chairman of Lockton International, reporting to Peter Clune. In addition to his wider responsibilities, Nimmo will focus on the growth and success of Lockton’s international regions.
The company’s Chairman, Lockton, commented: “We are excited for EJ to serve as the CEO of Europe. He is a proven leader, and he is respected by our clients, the markets and our people. EJ will continue to build on Lockton’s success in Europe.”
Clune added: “These changes are a testament to the incredible work of the entire Lockton International team and the growth they have created for Lockton.
“We are evolving our leadership team to ensure our long-term focus and commitment to our Associates and clients.”
