Global reinsurance broking and advisory firm Gallagher Re has appointed Pierre Guntzberger as Managing Director, Western Europe, Facultative, based in London.
Guntzberger holds more than 20 years of reinsurance experience, having held a variety of senior positions across London and Paris.
Gallagher Re added that, in particular, he has a strong track record of building high-performing teams and expanding client relationships throughout Europe.
In the new role, Guntzberger will work closely with Gallagher Re’s existing facultative teams to expand the firm’s facultative portfolio across Western Europe, initially focusing on France, Germany and Switzerland.
He will also reportedly support broader growth across Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Austria.
Guntzberger joins Gallagher Re from Miller Insurance, where he most recently led a global facultative reinsurance team.
