Lockton Re, the reinsurance business of Lockton, has appointed Robert Bisset as CEO, North America, and Nick Durant as Global Vice Chairman.
Bisset joined Lockton Re in 2021 as chairman of Global Retrocession & Property Specialty, Bermuda and Market Capital, and as a member of the Lockton Re Global Executive Committee. Since then, the firm says he has built out each of these areas, supporting the launch of new practices and capabilities.
In his new role, Bisset will continue to leverage his relationships across North America and the global marketplace to support the next phase of Lockton Re’s North American growth.
Durant, meanwhile, was part of the small founding group that launched Lockton Re in North America in 2019.
He joined as CEO, North America, and a member of the Global Executive Committee, overseeing rapid regional growth from a standing start to more than 200 colleagues across 11 offices over the past six years.
In his new role as global vice chairman, Durant will focus on capital solutions, global account growth, and the development of emerging global segments.
Both roles come into effect from February 1st this year.
