Lockton Re, the reinsurance division of broker Lockton, has named Ross Howard as global chairman alongside a series of high profile leadership appointments.
Howard is the former Chief Executive Officer of Towers Watson and was most recently chairman at JLT Re.
He also served as vice chairman of Guy Carpenter for a short period before retiring in late 2019.
Howard will work alongside Lockton Re’s global CEO Tim Gardener in a role that straddles North America and London based operations

Mark Higgins, the new London-based Head of North American business in London, and Charles Raw, Chairman of the North American division in London, join other senior London based North American P&C hires.
These include Derek Keating, Fraser Howard, Tim Jacobs and Beckett Hollenbach, alongside Healthcare leads Simon Mills and Richard Jameson.
Jasper Sabey has joined the International casualty team reporting to division head, Carla Moffett.
He brings 30 years’ experience as an International casualty broker having previously worked at BMS, Towers Watson and JLT Re.

Lockton Re international has also announced a new specialist lines unit with the hire of Paul Upton.
Upton is a former Lloyd’s underwriter and reinsurance broker and joins with over 35 years’ experience.
