K2 Insurance Services, a US insurance services provider, has confirmed that its subsidiary, Aegis General Insurance Agency, will discontinue operations within its Executive Risks Division as part of a wider review of its business portfolio.

The company announced that the division will stop accepting new business and renewals from 1 November 2026. According to K2 Insurance Services, the decision was made following an assessment of the division’s alignment with the group’s wider business strategy.

K2 Insurance Services Chief Executive Bob Kimmel said the move reflected the company’s strategic priorities. “This decision reflects our strategic priorities. We thank the entire team for their hard work and commitment to our producers and insureds.”

The company stated that the closure will not affect the terms of existing policies, which will remain in force until their scheduled expiry dates. Claims will also continue to be managed as normal, with no anticipated interruption to the process.

Aegis General Insurance Agency is coordinating with its insurance carrier partners and producers to manage the transition, K2 Insurance Services confirmed.
