Malakut, an independent multinational insurance and reinsurance broker, has announced the appointment of Sajith Kumar to the newly established role of Chief Commercial Officer, Middle East.
In this position, Kumar will be based at the company’s Dubai headquarters, where he will lead regional sales for the Malakut Group, drive profit growth, and strengthen its service offering across all sectors.
Kumar brings three decades of industry experience. He joins Malakut from Howden, where he spent the past seven years, most recently serving as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Howden UAE.
Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Marsh, most recently as Managing Director and Deputy CEO Marsh Emirates.
Earlier in his career, Kumar held roles at Warba Insurance and Reinsurance Company K.S.C.P. and National Insurance Co. Ltd.
