Mandarin Re, a Malaysia-based reinsurance company, has appointed Patrick G. W. Ward as a Member of its Board of Directors.
This appointment reflects Mandarin Re’s continued commitment to strong governance and long-term, sustainable growth.
The reinsurer commented, “We are confident that Patrick’s experience and industry perspective will make a valuable contribution to the Board and to the company’s future development.”
Ward has over 35 years of leadership experience in the insurance industry, with deep expertise in corporate governance, reinsurance, and strategic business development.
He currently serves as President of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean (IAC), a role he has held for the last three years and has held several senior executive and board positions throughout his career.
Ward served as the Executive Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bahamas First General Insurance Company Limited for more than two decades, and later went on to serve as the CEO in April 2024.
